Police have announced the fresh promotion of 83 officers.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced the promotion of 31 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) to the rank of Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs).
This development is coming barely 48-hours after the promotion of 684 senior police officers across various ranks within the force.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the PSC spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani confirmed the list of newly promoted officers, highlighting key appointments across various states and departments.
Notable promotions include Godspower Origho, the Area Commander of Kabba in Kogi State; Abubakar Ibrahim, Coordinator BPU in Sokoto State Command; and Kabiru Ibrahim of the Department of Operations, Cross Rivers State Command.
Other officers elevated to DCP include Ochiabutor Ejike from the Department of Operations in Enugu State Command; Danladi Ibrahim, Area Commander Kafanchan; and John Ngwoye from the Department of Operations in Ondo State Command.
Promotions were also extended to officers serving in critical roles within the Department of Operations in Bauchi, Katsina, and Jigawa State Commands, among others.
Additionally, the PSC promoted 52 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) to the rank of Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs).
The promoted officers include Offiong Effiong, Simeon Timbomna, Edward Akaniyere, and Yusuf Alhaji Bala, among others, who have been recognized for their service and contributions, particularly in the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NCCC).
