Former England international cricketer, Kevin Pietersen, has sarcastically praised Erik ten Hag following Manchester United’s heavy 3-0 home defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday.
Brennan Johnson put Tottenham in front in the third minute.
Manchester United skipper Bruno Fernandes was shown a straight red in the 42nd minute.
Spurs then returned with two more strikes from Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke in the 47 and 77th minutes respectively to put the game beyond Erik ten Hag’s men.
Pietersen claimed that Ten Hag is better than the legendary Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson.
He said for this reason, the Red Devils board should not sack the Dutchman.
“Please give Ten Hag time. He is a wonderful manager and has earned the right to another 2/3 seasons at least.
“He’s even better than Ferguson. PLEASE don’t sack him! PLEASE,” Pietersen tweeted.
