A total of 32 passengers on Saturday escaped death following a multiple road accident on the Iju bridge along Ota-Idiroko road in Ogun State. The accident involved four vehicles with registration numbers AAA729YC Mazda, LND85YA TOYOTA HIACE, TTN58ND BAJAJ and a SINO TRUCK with no registration number. The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has announced the resumption of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) in Edo and Ondo states, to enable eligible citizens who are not registered voters to do so. The announcement is coming ahead of the governorship election in Edo and Ondo states on 21 September and 16 November, 2024, respectively. The Commission said the CVR is only open to new registrants and those who seek to transfer their registration. The Nigerian Police Force, NPF, has declared Dorcas Adeyinka, a Nigerian blogger based in the United Kingdom, wanted over allegations of cyber-stalking, abduction and murder. According to a Special Police Gazette Bulletin shared on the NPF’s official X handle, Adeyinka was declared wanted by the Inspector-General of Police Monitoring Unit, Abuja.
