The Federal Government has increased its offer of a new national minimum wage to N62,000. This comes after the organized labour dropped its demand from N494,000 to N250,000. Two unidentified labourers were brought out dead from a well after they drowned while attempting to retrieve a bucket used to fetch water in Ile-Ife. The two men, DAILY POST gathered, were engaged to work at a construction site in the town on Thursday.
