The Kogi State Police Command on Sunday confirmed the killing of two of the abducted students of Confluence University of Science and Technology, CUSTECH, Osara.
DAILY POST recalls that armed men suspected to be bandits had on May 9 invaded the school while the students were studying in their classes ahead of their examinations.
An unspecified number of students were abducted by the assailants after sporadic shootings.
Some of the abducted students were recently released by the kidnappers.
The State Police Commissioner, Bethrand Onuoha, confirmed the killing of the students when he spoke with NAN in Lokoja.
Onuoha described the killing by their abductors as very unfortunate.
The CP did not, however, give the details of the killing, saying that the security operatives were on the trail of the abductors to bring them to book.
