The New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, has criticised President Bola Tinubu’s leadership style, stating that it has caused untold hardships for Nigerians.

Malam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim, the leader of NNPP and former gubernatorial candidate in Jigawa State, disclosed this after receiving thousands of APC and PDP loyalists who defected to NNPP on Wednesday in his house in Dutse.

Malam Aminu described Tinubu’s administration as dictatorial and opined that, with the abundance of resources Nigeria is blessed with, Nigerians do not deserve the current hardship under the APC-led government.

He added that, as an opposition party, they had given the ruling party the benefit of the doubt for almost a year, but there was still nothing to show. Therefore, they have concluded arrangements to challenge the ruling party at the national and state levels.

Malam Aminu explained that the purpose of the gathering was to meet with the leadership of NNPP in all 27 local governments in Jigawa State to discuss and design ways to save Nigerians from hardship.

He further stated that, as an opposition party, NNPP will not allow the situation to continue.

According to him: “We must challenge the ruling party to do what is right, as Nigerians are entitled to survive without untold hardship.”

Malam Aminu called on Nigerians to avoid repeating the mistake of “collect and vote” in the next general elections to save the country’s future.
